Wow!! Time flies toooo fast. Now already week 16 …That means this is the last week to work on final year project. We supposed to submit our Final Year project on 18th July but Miss Jeya has postponed it to 21st July. At the same time she has remind us to include all this when we submit the final year project.

• Progress report
• Buletin board agreement (we can get this from Miss Jeya on the day of
submission)
• Link to our blog
• We should label our CD well
• Submit 2 copies of CD's
• Write down the URL of our site on the CD cover.

Okay for this week I have applied sound into my flash button, embedded a video in my website and makes my upload images section works.I have done few changes on my project too. So Now it's 100% completed :D

Week 15

Well! Alpha Test already over!! We have been given 2 weeks more from Miss Jeya to complete the final year project. Since we already showed 80% of work on alpha test day, that means we still have 20% more to go. So this week, I’m working on my upload image section using flash. Its quiet confusing and frustrating for me when I working on this section. This is because sometimes my upload section working perfectly and sometimes it showing error …It’s really give me a headache because I’m not really good in coding =(.Beside upload image section I also have improved my flash game. I have drawn few bride dresses which look more attractive than before.

This is what I have done for this week…Hope can finish everything by next week!!

Week 14

Today is the alpha test…I’m so nervous before the alpha test because I’m worried what the guest that Miss Jeya invited for the alpha test gonna tell about my work. Miss Jeya has invited two RND people to give comment about our work. At the same time she also invited all the internship students who working in Sunway University to be the audiences. Seriously I was shocked when I see all of them. I didn’t expect they will be the audiences and the RND people will give comment. Miss Jeya did mention that she going to invite guest to comment about our final year project but I didn’t expect they will be one of them =S.

But anyway I’m the third person who presents my project today. I have explained what I have done and the purpose of creating my project. Basically I didn’t get any bad comment from the guest .Thank god for that!! =D.I only gets suggestion from them to improve my work.Beside that, I have seen everyone’s final year project. Most of them have done a very good job.

Week 13

Hmm next week is the alpha test …I’m quite worried what gonna happen on alpha test day!! By the way today in class as usual I have showed my final year project progress to Miss Jeya. She don’t really critique or comment on my work today. That was like a big achievement for me I think =P…Because every time I show my work to Miss Jeya, she always critique about my work. So when today, she don’t really comment …I felt so happy =P =P but anyway whatever Miss Jeya commented, I really appreciate her comment and I try my best to do like what she has recommended to me since week 3.

Beside that in class Miss Jeya has remind all of us to do well preparation before the alpha test day. She asked us to do testing and debugging few days before the alpha test so that everything goes smoothly on presentation day.

Week 12

As I mention earlier we don’t have class on week 12.So this week I concentrate on my final year project and I managed to finish my flash “dress up game” and guest book. The major problem that I’m facing now is I don’t know how to do the upload photo section. I’m still looking for the action script since it’s a flash website but I don’t mind too if I find a php code for this upload photo section.

Week 11

Today in class we actually have to show our fyp progress and progress report to Miss Jeya. I have showed mine to her. She said my background image which is batik pattern looks so congested. She asked me to do changes on that .Beside that she commented about my gallery page. She thinks that my gallery page can be done in better way. So basically she asked me to change my gallery page because she don’t really like they way I designed it. I take all her comment in positive way and going to change during the weekend.

At the end of class Miss Jeya said she don’t want to have class on week 12 which is next week. She asked us to concentrate the final year project and meet her on week 13 and show her the fyp progress. At the same time she also mentions that she wants to check our blog writing and bulletin board progress.

Week 10

Two weeks with Miss Megan gone just like that. It’s soooooo fast!! Back to Miss Jeya’s class. Okay today in her class she actually discussed about importance of Curriculum Vitae. Miss Jeya said curriculum vitae or CV is very important and we suppose to update our CV every 6 months so that we won’t face any difficulty when we do our CV for interviews.

About my final year project, I already do linking, flash banner, gallery and batik pattern for my website as background image. I’m still looking for code for my guestbook and share photo section.

Week 9

This week we still with Miss Megan...Basically this week I showed my documentation to Miss Megan like she mention in class last week. After she go through my documentation for couple of minutes she corrected so many things in my documentation and giving me ideas how to write, suggestions that she think I should add and opinions. With her suggestion and opinion I do it again my documentation and asked her to check. I’m so glad that she happy with my documentation and I don’t have to change anything anymore. After the documentation I showed my Writing for web assignment for her to check. For this assignment she also gives me suggestion to change my writing style so that my article will be interesting. At the same she also gives me ideas how I supposed to start my article. With her suggestion and ideas I do it again my article, but I didn’t manage to show it to her for second time because I finished the feature article few days after she gone to Australia.

But anyway 2 weeks with Miss Megan’s class is very nice feeling. She helps a lot on my assignments. I’m so happy about it. 

Week 8

1 week holiday already finished. Time flies so fast!! Quiet sad about it because got a lot of things that I planned to do during the weekend didn’t work out. Beside final year project system, still got other assignment to focus on such as documentation, writing for web assignment. Seven days is not enough to focus all the assignment. During the weekend I actually managed to come out with the design and decided not to change the interface anymore. Beside that I start work on the documentation. Even though I’m quiet sad at first, I’m so happy and excited to see Miss Megan (visiting lecturer) coming down to see us =P (I don’t know her very well but I’m happy to see her).

During the class session, we finally cleared about our doubts by asking her and very happy to hear that we actually don’t have to do very detail documentation because our documentation is proposal. We actually got extension for documentation submission. It’s a very happy news for me and of course my classmates too. Beside that in class Miss Megan go through the workshops for Writing for Web. She also asked everyone to do the assignments and show it to her so that she can check and correct it.

Week 7

Well this week Miss Jeya discussed about Stress management. I wonder why suddenly she discussed about stress when I really stress: P. By the way in this class I have learned that we supposed to manage our time by carefully so that we won’t feel stress for no reason.Beside that we suppose to express our feelings instead of bottling them up so that we won’t feel burden. I totally agree about this. We should not keep our feeling because it will make us so stress and at the end we might fall sick.

Alright that’s all I think. I have nothing much to write and so happy next week is the mid sem break. Okay okay!! I know I cannot enjoy my holiday but at least I can concentrate do it at home for one week and list down all the problems so that can ask someone to help me when I’m back to school. If I manage to list down =P

Week 6

Arghhhhh!! Week 6 gone, just like that….Basically this week I have showed my interface design to Miss Jeya. She don’t really comments on my design. I think it’s too early to judge me. It’s just a static interface =P.She said I can carry on working on my project. At the same time she has suggested to change few things that I have put in my website. She said “its look ugly”. Thank god she let me know about this. I dun realize its looks ugly :S.

Day by day I continue working on my final year project then on weekend suddenly I get bored with my interface design and the selection of color. So I changed!! Yes I changed!! I changed the whole thing!! I have design different interface with different color and going to use flash to create my website. Oh my god only god know how I feel when I changed the whole thing. Its troublesome and stressful coz so much time is wasted.

At the same time I went to my friend house to take her photographs which related to my final year project. Since the lecturer in VU very concern about copyright images, I’m trying my best to get all images with permission. In fact I have asked my mum and cousin to cook few dishes and take photo of it which related to my fyp too. Foooooh!!! What a weekend!! So buzyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!! I have no time to EAT on time AND SLEEP!!A week gone, just like that!:(:(:( How to do documentation if my system not fully working!!:( . Wuaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!

Week 5

Oh my god time is running out like water pipe. So fast we already in week 5.I already start worried till my heart beat goes faster. This is because there are a lot of works to do beside final year project.

By the way this week is the concept demonstration week where we have to present our prototype how the real project going to be. I have presented mine in class and Miss Jeya has improved certain things in my project so that the users of my project wont get confuse when they use the website functionality. I agreed with her because functionality seems commonly to bring to mind interaction between the site and the site visitor. I have start working on my final year project. I wish I’m not going face any problem while working on it. But this is not going to happen.

Once my title got approved from VU, looks like I have so many things to do.

I have showed my storyboard to Miss Jeya. She said she can’t see interactivity in my project. Therefore she has suggested me something interactivity in my project. I really appreciate her idea. I hope I manage to do like what she has recommended. She has remind me that next week is concept demonstration and have to show her detailed storyboard with explanation so that she can understand what I planned to do for my project.

Week 3

Woohoo!! Finally my title proposal accepted by VU lecturer. This is very good news for me even though it’s just a beginning of the final year project. I have started research information about my title when I got to know my title approved by them. Miss Jeya has asked us to do the storyboard and show it to her next class which is next Tuesday.

At the same time Miss Sara has asked us to start doing the documentation part and show it to her on Friday. On Friday I have showed my documentation to Miss Sara and get some advices from her such as how to write and things not to do when come to documentation part. I have finished my storyboard on weekend and get ready to show Miss Jeya the following week.

Week 2

One week already passed something else to talk about this week. We haven’t got the reply about our second proposal from the VU lecturer. I hope will get the reply by this week. At the moment focused on other assignments. This semester have too many assignments to handle!!

Today in class, Ms Jeya has discussed about U.S Copyright Law. She has explained that even though the information, images or etc on the net doesn’t have a copyright notice doesn’t mean it’s not copyrighted. We actually cannot post copyright material online even though we don’t charge for it. This week lecture really gives me enough information to understand about Copyright Law.

That’s all for this week…I have nothing much to talk about. Hope will have interesting update or experience to talk about next week.

Well what I can say about this week....

The semester already started and I suppose to start working on my final year project but I haven’t. I'm still waiting for reply from VU lecturer about my 2nd proposal. I really hope this time they will approve my proposal. They don't really like my 1st proposal title. There are a lot of things that actually I can do for final year project but the thing is I'm not really good in database and coding so whatever I have suggested for my final year project title, it's actually what I can do..

It's very easy to simply come out with one title proposal but to complete the particular title with fantastic elements on it is a question. One of my friends has suggested me an idea and it's a good idea. In fact Ms Sara also has suggested me something. I cannot simply accept their idea because I don’t know how to work on it. I don’t want to suffer after start working on my final year project.

But anyway I really hope VU lecturer will accept my 2nd proposal so that I can start work on my Final Year Project.
